Using ABC Edu
- ABC Edu is a free website for general information about schools in England. It is not advice about any particular child or application.
- We show official data as published by the Department for Education and Ofsted, and update it regularly. It can still be out of date or contain mistakes. Before you make a decision, check the latest information with the school, Ofsted and your council.
- Distances are straight-line distances from the centre of a postcode or place. Councils use their own measurements for admissions.
- We never combine official measures into a score of our own, and we don’t sell higher positions in search results.
Re-using the data
The official data on ABC Edu is public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. If you want to re-use it, we recommend getting it from the original sources listed on About the data.

We link to school websites and official sites. We aren’t responsible for their content.
Liability
We provide the site “as is”. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss arising from using it or relying on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
